How it works

A process, not a scatter of introductions.

Most buyers arrive having spoken to three agents, two websites and a currency broker, and still not know what happens next. Here is the sequence, and who does what.

01

Discover

Tell us what you're looking for.

A short qualification call or a few questions in the search. We want your non-negotiables and your preferences listed separately — it changes what we show you.

02

Match

We identify properties that fit.

You receive a considered shortlist with the reasoning attached, not a dump of everything that matches a filter. Where something is close but not exact, we say what is off.

03

View

A local partner coordinates your visit.

Viewings are arranged around your trip, including live remote viewings where travel is not practical. You get an organised itinerary, not a list of addresses.

04

Proceed

We coordinate the next steps with you.

Offer, reservation and private contract, with independent legal checks. Everything is recorded in your portal so you can see exactly where the purchase stands.

05

Complete

Your transaction reaches completion.

Notary, registry and the practical handover — utilities, community, keys. You keep access to your documents afterwards.

Responsibilities

Who does what, and who acts for you.

MONTARA coordinates. It does not replace the independent professionals whose job it is to protect your position.

International perspective

We work with buyers from the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium and Northern Europe, and we explain the process in the language and the detail you need.

Local network

Viewings, valuations and local knowledge come from people on the ground in Mojácar, Vera and Garrucha — not from a call centre.

Digital transaction

One place for your shortlist, viewings, documents and progress, so a purchase from another country stays visible and organised.

Human expertise

Lawyers, notaries and tax advisers stay involved where decisions require them. We coordinate; we do not replace them.

What you can see

Everything in one place.

The portal is where the purchase becomes visible: shortlist, viewings, documents and the stage you have reached.

Questions

Two things buyers ask before anything else.

If your question is not here, ask MONTARA in the drawer or send us a message.

Do I have to travel to Spain?

Not strictly. A power of attorney allows your lawyer to sign for you. Most buyers still want one viewing trip before committing to a specific property, and we would encourage it.

How long does it take?

From accepted offer to completion is commonly weeks rather than months, depending on the title and whether a mortgage is involved. Cash purchases complete fastest.
